Tell Odacité beauty lovers a little bit about yourself and what inspired you to create One Part Plant.

I changed to a plant-based diet around seven years ago and it was one of the hardest things I've ever done. I was able to avoid getting a hysterectomy because of the change and you would think that would be enough to make me accept the change. Nope! I still cried about not having all my favorite foods. There came a point where I had to stop feeling sorry for myself and embrace this powerful change. I taught myself to cook and started making all my old favorite foods in ways I could eat them. I read everything I could about plant-based diets and it's benefits. One Part Plant was born from this. I wanted to share everything I had learned, because I never wanted anyone to feel frustrated, sad, or confused about changing their diet the same way I did.

We are One Part Plant devotees (love the book and the podcast!). For those who are not familiar, what does it means to eat One Part Plant and how does it differ from all the mainstream diets out there?

One Part Plant means eating at least one plant-based meal a day. Just one to start. I think we put so much pressure on ourselves with all the dieting labels, Paleo, Raw, Vegan, Keto, etc. I think these diets work for a lot of people, but for others, the labels can make us feel like we've failed for eating a piece of rice or even cooked food. One Part Plant is all about showing you the power of plants and easing into what works for you. Maybe you start with one plant-based meal a day and that leads to two or even three. There's room to breathe and experiment. And with that freedom, I've seen so many people succeed at feeling their best. It's so exciting!

After being diagnosed with endometriosis, you under went an entire lifestyle shift. What was one of the hardest challenges you ran into (or are still running into) during your healing journey?

In the beginning it was so hard to feel excited to go to dinner and share meals with friends and family that didn't eat the same way as me (which is basically 99% of them). People didn't know what to cook for me or if we went out to dinner, a lot of times there was nothing on the menu I could eat. The social aspect of changing your diet is one of the hardest things! Today I have all the tips and tricks to make it easier (I cover a lot of this in my book) and also so many of my friends and family are One Part Plant converts. It's made it so much easier and way more fun.

Per your friendly request of eating one plant-based meal each day, can you share your favorite plant-based recipe that we should try this fall!

Creamy Mushroom Lasagna!  It's by far, the most popular recipe in my book (tied with the Chocolate Chunk Cookies). It's hearty, filling, and no one in your family will know it's plant-based.

Last but not least, could you tell our beauty lovers what your all-time favorite Odacité product(s) is and how you use it in your skincare regime.

Ok, YOU guys have got me hooked on your Ro + Y Serum. It's SO GOOD. I use a few drops of it (mixed with a little jojoba oil) and rub it all over my face in the morning and before bed. I swear I've already noticed a difference in my skin! Basically, you need to keep making it forever. Ok? I'm serious.

Also, I'm so excited about the Green Ceremony Cleanser. I can travel with it because it's in powder form. PLUS you use the word "baby foam" to describe it. And c'mon, how cute does that foam sound?
