Hi everyone! Maria here from Spinach for Breakfast. Nowadays when you pop into a coffee shop, traditional coffee and espresso aren’t the only things on the menu. Matcha, turmeric, beet, and even CBD lattes are making major waves.
And as nice as it is to pick one up, they are actually easy to make at home! I love making a Golden Turmeric Latte when I want to sip on something warm, but I don’t want the caffeine.
Turmeric is packed with antioxidants, boosts metabolism, help detoxify, provides clean energy and may even help to prevent cancer. Plus, it tastes delicious :-)
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup of almond milk
1 teaspoon of turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
Dash of black pepper
1 date or 1/2 teaspoon of maple syrup
HOW-TO:
1. Add everything to a small pot and whisk the ingredients together until hot, but not boiling.
2. Pour ingredients into a blender.
3. Blend on medium for 2-3 minutes until creamy. Enjoy!
