Almost Fruit-Less Green Smoothie

Green smoothies are loved for many reasons, one of them being that they are such an easy way to get lots of greens into our diet with just one glass. 

Today I am sharing a green smoothie recipe without the average fruit filled base. Instead, this recipe incorporates lots of alkalizing greens so you still get all the fiber and nutrients you need, just with an added bonus of less sugar! 

With skin-loving ingredients like avocado (filled with antioxidants that will help detoxify your body and help reduce the appearance of wrinkles), this almost fruit-less green smoothie recipe is for anyone who needs or wants to avoid extra fruit and sugar with an added healthy skin finish.

 

Ingredients:

½ organic cucumber, chopped
¼ cup parsley
½ lemon, peeled
½ avocado, pitted and peeled
2 cups organic, raw spinach
1 cup coconut water
Ice Cubes
Chia Seeds for topping

 

How-To:

Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth. Enjoy immediately.
