Blood Orange Blueberry Smoothie

This Blood Orange Blueberry Smoothie is an easy way to intake your daily amount of Vitamins A, C, E. Blood oranges may seem like any other citrus fruit on the outside, but inside its crimson flesh is full of Vitamin C which assists in the production of collagen. Blueberries are full of the powerful antioxidant anthocyanin that helps mitigate damage from free radicals on the skin. Maqui berry is an underrated superfood that is full of vitamins including vitamin A. Vitamin A promotes metabolism and blood circulation for the new cells to form. Bonus! This smoothie is high in fiber and is immune boosting.

 

Ingredients:

1 zucchini - chopped
1 cup blueberries
2 blood oranges - peeled
3 tbsp almonds
1 tsp maqui berry powder
1 apricot 
1 cup water
1 cup ice

 

How-To:

Prep ingredients above and mix into blended for desired consistency. If too thick we suggest adding extra water, juice, or almond milk into the mixture. Use a slice of apricot or orange to perch on rim of your glass.
